The rite casting Great bell at Tay Khanh pagoda

On the occasion of the Retreat meditation - reciting Buddha's name, Tay Khanh pagoda (Kien Xuong, Thai Binh) held the rite casting in great bell on Oct. 25th, 2020 (to Sep. 9th, Year of Mouse).
The rite was demonstrated by Most Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the demonstrating council cum Head of the Commissioner of Law of the Central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi City and Ha Tinh province; Senior Thich Thanh Dinh, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Buddhist Sangha in Thai Binh province; Junior Ven. Thich Thanh Vuong, Head of the Buddhist Sangha in Kien Xuong district; Junior Ven. Thich Thanh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Kien Xuong District Buddhist Sangha together with Buddhists near and far and people in the area gathered to attend this important event.
After the invitation of Junior Abbot Thich Tam Kinh, Abbot of Tay Khanh Pagoda, Most Thich Bao Nghiem gave teachings to the monks and Buddhists to attend the ceremony.
The Most Ven. explained the meaning of sound of the great bell to the mass, as well as its importance in Buddhist culture in particular and Vietnamese culture in general.
The bell awakes for the mindfulness and awakening of the Buddha’s disciples, two-time each day the pagoda reminds for a bell is also a way to transform the beings, to pray for the ancestors getting salvation and the human having prosperity.
On the 3rd day of practice, the pagoda also completed the Meditation - Buddhist Recitation course. The monks in the organizers gave a few words to encourage Buddhists before returning to daily life.
