Thich Tam Tinh, Committee of D.B of V.B.A, Abbot of Tieu Dao Pagoda in Quang Ninh Province.
The Ullambana is the chance to remind our offspring generations who have to remember the merit of giving birth and bring up to their ancestors and parents, as well as the great contribution of the national heroes who is acknowledged by the government. Meanwhile, these ones help us approach closer the humanity education significance of Buddhist culture “Never cast dirt into the fountain of which you have sometimes drunk.â€
The ceremony’s important section being very moved took place from the speech of the roses’ pinning meaning of the young Nguyen Ngoc Thu. By her emotional and slow voice, the listeners have cried some moment in the ceremony. Everyone seems to have their own feeling when they remember parents in their deep and colorful emotions. The shape of their parents seems still there. Their love for us is unchangeable although we are not young and grow up.
The end of ceremony is the dharma talk by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Tinh. Buddhism is the pious gratitude’s religion, which taught about the love to human and beings as the first. This love must begin from their parents, and then spread their love to people around. As a result, in all of doctrine, the Buddha mentioned to the pious minds in great many times. “Where for our cultivation is good at in our family. By our mum and dad’s respect is the most sincere mind in our cultivated practiceâ€, or “Sakyamuny Buddha loves beings as a dad’s state toward his child; as well as Bodhisattava Avalokitesvara preserves beings as a mother’s love to her child.â€
The pious mind is required the first for the Buddhism’s religion followers. The Buddha Himself specifically taught His disciples many times. Hey! Biskkhus! Two people that we could not repay enough their merits are our dad and mum. By the merits of their bringing up and birth giving, however many as we get hundreds or thousands livings of us do we take care during their life still could not requite enough their merits. This confirms that pious mind is the core foundation and base of good virtue.
The ending ceremony, the monks and the mass chanted Ullambana sutra.
