The Vesak at Tay Khanh pagoda – Thai Binh province.

While millions of Buddhists around the world welcomed the date when Buddha was born, on the afternoon of April 14that Tay Khanh pagoda, Quang Hung commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province, the Vesak ceremony of Buddhist calendar 2560th- 2016th calendar year was organized. More than 800 believing men and women from in and out the province came to attend.

The ceremony was opened with a dharma talk of Venerable Thich Tam Kinh, abbot of Tay Khanh pagoda, about the meaning of The Vesak and Bathing Buddha. Thereby, every Buddhist should usually purify 3 karmas: body, speech and mind to clean three poisons of greed, anger and delusion. Only in practice like that, bathing Buddha brings benefit and value for cultivating.

 

At the end of the ceremony, the monks and Buddhists performed rituals of the Vesak. After that, carriages decorated with lantern flowers parade to Thai BInh city took place.
