Ullambana ceremony of filial piety at Vinh Phuc Pagoda - Nha Trang

Vinh Phap Pagoda belongs to Hill 82, Hon Nghe 1 Hamlet, Vinh Ngoc Commune, Nha Trang, which is one of the branches of Hoang Phap Pagoda and is constructing of infrastructure, so has a lot of difficulties in organizing the ceremony. However, with the kindness and earnestness of the Buddhists here, the Venerable Abbot has boldly held this meaningful ceremony.
At 8.30am the ceremony officially began, the openning is six kinds of offering by the Buddhist family’s students. After that, the whole mandala was listened to a buddhist s’ speech about the meaning of pinning roses. Next, it is the ritual of pinning roses, one of the indispensable rituals in the ceremony, it brings much happiness to those who were pinned red roses. On behalf of the masses, Buddhists offered congratulation to monks who increased more a religion age and invited them to give some dharma words.
Preaching in the ceremony, the Most Venerable Thich Ngo Tinh, the Deputy Head of Vietnam Buddhist Association of Khanh Hoa province on behalf of the present monks praised for the filial spirit of the whole Buddhists in pagoda. The duty of a child is to fulfill the filial piety, so that we repay noble love of dad and mum for us. Buddhists not only donate our parents with material support, but also have to lead our parents to take refuge Three Jewels in order to have peace and happiness in the present and future life.
The ceremony ended in joy of all.
