Welcoming the New Year's Eve on the rat year at Tay Khanh Pagoda - Thai Binh

Tet Holidays are peaceful, warm days with family, reuniting with relatives after a busy year with tasks to cover daily life. On this day, the residents working far have returned to their house to welcome the spring in peace. For leaving-home people, this is a time to serve Buddhists who come to the temple to prostrate the Buddha, study the teachings of the Buddha.

In the sacred moment transferring the old year to the new year, the Buddhists came main hall of Tay Khanh Pagoda (Cao Mại, Quang Hưng, Kiến Xương, Thái Bình) to welcome a peaceful spring. The monks solemnly arrived the Buddha Hall offering incense to the Buddha and pray to the whole family of Buddhists  for the New Year  of peace and being supported in ten directions of the Buddhas.

After the ceremony, Ven. Thich Tam Kinh had greeting words of Tet to Buddhists. Abbot Ven also had encouragement words to all mass should diligently practice, usually cultivate Buddha's teachings, regularly go to the temple to attend retreat courses. Besides, the Monk also reminded Buddhists who need to encourage their children to go to the temple to learn good and ethic things. A new year has come, we need to be more diligent than the past years.

 After that, everyone was received the lucky pocket and the dharma gifts of handbook “A Gift of New Year”  from monks. People are full of joy when greeting in a new year at the pagoda in loving with nice souvenirs.
