Why do we encounter obstacles?
Update: 01/05/2015
In daily life, we often encounter kinds of obstacles.
They may be problems in reading books, friendship, studying abroad, settlement, housing, consumption, and even in belief and religion.
So, what are the causes of those?
Following are four main reasons:
1. Word-action contradiction
We are self problem-makers. External obstacles are often much weaker than the internal ones. Blabbering without practical actions will gradually cause distrusts which certainly create lots of troubles to boasters.
2. Evil mind:
Thinking of harm in others, fighting/ scrambling for self-interest ... All are evil thoughts. Others are neither blind nor stupid. They can see not only the surface of our bodies, our faces, but deep in our hearts’ intention also. For sure no one wants to deal with evils.
3. Evil work:
If we carry out lots of mean actions in life as: abuse of trust, self-interest at whatever price, ingratitude or even illegality… then of course people will not wish to keep in touch with such kind of people. Hence doing evil is more likely making a rod on our own back.
4. Tight-fisted:
We live in a community, cooperate with others or set up a business ... the wise advice is not to be mean over money matters but think of others’ benefits first. No one wants to establish any close relationship with stingy ones. Lots of good fortune may be slipped out of our hands due to such manners.
In summary, there are four main causes for the obstacles we face: Word-action contradiction, evil mind, evil work and tight-fisted. All are self-harm activities. Releasing those will help eliminating all troubles in life.
