1st day of the Retreat "Back to a Peaceful Place"

On April 30, 2022 (March 30th, LC), the youth retreat "Return to a peaceful place" began at Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Hanoi City.

On the first day, the young people were harmonised with the cultivation environment at the temple. Starting at 4:30 am seems new and little familiar to many young people. After the chanting, they are instructed to quickly queue up at Amitabha yard to exercise.

In the morning, all participants solemnly gathered in the lecture hall, greeted the Venerable monks and Nun to perform the opening ceremony of the retreat.  Junior Thich Tam Hoa, Abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda, Head of the Organizers of the Youth Retreat shared a Dharma talk with the topic of Returning - Living Awake; introduced the instructors, and officially rang the opening bell.

In the afternoon, under the guidance of monks, each group has its own activities. In the Dharma talk, young practitioners have the opportunity to listen, understand, open their hearts and share about problems in life.

Closing the first day of practice, the ceremony of taking refuge in the Three Jewels and reciting five precepts took place in the evening. This is the most important ritual of the retreat, expressing enlightenment, bringing the true spirit of the retreat Back to the Place of Enlightenment - Returning to the Peaceful Place. Under the witness of the venerable monks, and nuns, over 200 attendances, who vow to take refuge in the Three Jewels, keep five virtues, and become Buddha's disciples.

The first day took place, gave young people many impressive emotions and excitedly looking forward to the next activities of the program.
