20 YEARS - A ROAD!

Just keep going and you will come...

It has been twenty years since I first started searching for religion. From a naive little girl who did not know anything about religion, she is now a mature person, speaking and acting all nestled in the majesty of the Buddha.

She remembered those first days very much when she first became a vegetarian, went to the pagoda, chanted sutras and fell asleep, and then the times when she was "bewildered" when listening to the Dharma teachings. However, thanks to past fate, she was helped and supported by good teachers and good friends. As a result, that little girl grew up in the light of the Buddha. The first day she returned to the pagoda to practice, she saw the rain falling and cried because she missed her home and her mom. While working with everyone, it was difficult to avoid being scolded for mistakes, and she could only cry. Tears keep rolling down when things go wrong. Also, she had to be confused from living to practicing, dealing with people in a harmonious way without knowing where to start. Now when she remembered, she smiled to herself! All her efforts had paid off. When she encountered those unsatisfactory things again, she was more calm and maintained a more peaceful mind than ever. Why is that? Thanks to learning the teachings, chanting sutras, listening to the Dharma, and especially the merits, a weak, crying, small person has become a strong one who smiles more. Fair cause and effect! Buddha is right! That journey has ups and downs, happiness and sadness, but in the end it is also a manifestation of the dharmas, which helps us refine and improve day by day. She smiled and thought to herself.

By this time, she was more stable and had her own path. She knows why she practices and what is the benefit of practicing. How much bitterness has trained her! In other words, she has understood a lot! Thank you for the past journey!

“Now it is the time to look back

 See a past journey,

 How sad and happy,

There is anger, there is forgiveness,

 Satisfied or disappointed

 More sincere or still naive,

 Like in the beginning…

 No matter what,

No matter how things have turned out,

 Just look back,

A smile is always on your lips,

 Success and failure

It was just a story last year.

 Welcome a new day…”

 Best regards,

An Tâm
