2nd Teenager Retreat at Dang Phap Pagoda, Binh Phuoc

On Aug. 06th, 2023, Dang Phap Pagoda in Binh Phuoc province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda) organized the 2nd One-Day Retreat for Teenagers to attend (from 08 to 20 years old).

In the morning, young attendees learned about the basic demeanor of lay people when coming to the pagoda.

In response to the Organizers’ invitation, Junior Thich Buu Dao, Head and Buddhist Youth Broad of Binh Phuoc province - Head of the Department of Dharma propagation of Loc Ninh district, Abbot of Phat Tam pagoda came to the ashram to have a dharma talk named A oil light in front of the wind.

This is a symbolic image when parents are old, and weak still worrying their children. This boundless sacrifice for their child from the time he/ she was in the womb, born, every step it took. Growing up in children, parents are always close to take care of them in the best way, or even sacrifice the most precious things from material to spiritual, sometimes exchanging their whole body to make their children grow.

The preacher helps young people realize the value of life, adding positive energy for them to rise up in work and study. In particular, each of them must live filial piety with parents, Dharma, relatives and the favors in daily life that we have been receiving.

Teacher Ho Ngoc Nam guided lively activities, and taught thinking math, mental calculation of addition, subtraction, ....to little learners in the afternoon.

The practice day ended in joy for the participants.
