35th Practical Dharma Program

On April 08th, 2023 (intercalary Feb. 18th, Year of the Cat), Senior Thich Minh Thanh, Abbot of Linh Quy Phap An Temple located in Bao Loc, Lam Dong province, the Lecturer of Ho Chi Minh Buddhist Intermedia-College, presented a dharma talk at Hoang Phap Pagoda in the 35th Practical Dharma Program of Seven-Day Retreat.

The Senior taught the sutta After the summer (Rain) retreat about Nine Dharma abiding in the mind of Venerable Sariputra in the 4th book of Anguttara Nikaya:

Abiding in the mind like the great earth

• Abiding in a mind like water
• Abiding in a mind like fire
• Abiding in mind like the wind
• Abiding in a mind like a rag
• Abiding in a mind like a beggar
• Abiding in the mind like a bull with its horns cut off 
• Abiding in the mind like the body full of impurities
• Abiding in the mind like the body is riddled with many holes.

After the sutta, the mass contemplated the great wisdom cultivator ‘s practice, taking it as a core way to have peace and happiness which helps step on the supreme path of nirvana.
