A One-Day Buddha Recitation Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa Province

In the morning of May 29th, 2016 (Lunar April 23rd, Monkey year), Hundreds of buddhists in the province have gathered at Dong Cao pagoda, Nga Yen commune, Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province to attend a monthly retreat day.

On behalf of the organizing board in this retreat, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung, Chief of the organizing board gave a sermon titled "Meaning of the verse 194 in the Dharmapada, chapter Amitabha Buddha" to the whole participants in the  bodhimandala 

 

"Happy is the Buddha’s birth!

Happy is  the exposition of the right Dharma!

Happy is the harmony of the  monks in the sangha!

Happy is the practice of the right Dharma."

Junior Venerable spent more than an hour explaining the the meanings of the verse to all the partcipants . And then, Junior Venerable gently advised the whole bodhimandala to be diligent in their practice in order to get happiness and bliss for themselves thereby causing Buddha's teachings to be everlasting.

 

After the Dharma talk, the whole bodhimandala together practiced theircultivation as usual. 

 

In this retreat, the organizing board offered the whole Bodhimandala the VCDs "Eight worldly Dharmas" by Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh for free.
