A visitor coming from Switzerland

By the instruction of the friend living and working in HCMC, Mr. Silvio visited and stayed three days at Hoang Phap Pagoda for his good working and life experiences. He is forty eight years old and has a son. He is an Italian but lives in Switzerland. He is a medical member and works at a Swiss hospital.

As a European, he believes in Catholic, but he has good feelings on the Buddhism because of its compassion, tolerance, open-mind. He also hopes to study deeply in Buddhism which discovers many good things from the Buddha’s teaching.

This is the fifth time he has arrived in Vietnam. In previous times, he came to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and others pagodas in HCMC as well. This time, thank to introducing from Vietnamese friend, who is living in Switzerland, tells him about hoang Phap Pagoda and its Buddhists’ affairs, so he wants to visit the pagoda on his this trip.

He is so lucky when he has another friend, who is a University Professor in HCMC, has taken him to Hoang Phap Pagoda in Hoc Mon district, and stayed three days. He also intended to come back and will attend the One-Day Cultivation course on August 27th, 2017 before returning home at the end of August in 2017.

Together with the interest in Buddhism, Mr. Silvio also hopes to discover Vietnamese people and its landscape; particurlarly, many traditionally specific dishes. For this trip, he will travel to some provinces in the country. He can listen and speak some simple Vietnamese sentences. To him, Vietnam is one of the extremely ideal and interesting, wonderful destinations for retired ones.
