Abbot Appointment Ceremony of Phap Hoa Pagoda – Binh Phuoc

In response to the invitation from Junior Ven. Thich Tam Tho and being instructed by Senior Thich Chan Tinh, the monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda came to Phap Hoa Pagoda in Hon Quan district, Binh Phuoc province to witness the Abbot Appointment ceremony on March 28th, 2021 (Feb. 16th, Year of Buffalo).

The ceremony is demonstrated by the presence Most Thich Chi Thien, Member of the Central Economic and Financial Committee, Deputy of the Propaganda Department of Binh Duong Buddhist Sangha, a demonstrating member of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of Di An City; Senior Ven Thich Chieu Phap, Deputy of Administration cum Chief Secretary of VBS in Binh Phuoc province; Senior Ven Thich Nguyen Tu, Head of the Director Board of VBS in Hon Quan district; Junior Thich Quang Hien, Deputy Secretary cum Chief of the Office of VBS in Binh Phuoc province; Master-Nun Thich Nu Nhat Khuong, Deputy of the Director Board cum  Head of Nuns' Board of VBS in Binh Phuoc Province, and monks and nuns of all levels,  abbots of the monasteries, temples in and out of the district accompanying with monks at the branches of Hoang Phap Pagoda.

At the ceremony, Junior Thich Nguyen Tu, Head of the Director Board of VBS, Hon Quan district gave the opening speech. Next, Junior Thich  Quang Hien read the decision to appoint the abbot. Approved by the Sangha and all levels of authorities, Junior Thich Tam Tho was officially appointed the abbot of Phap Hoa Pagoda. In boundless joy, Senior Thich Chieu Phap, Deputy of Administration cum Chief Secretary of Buddhism in Binh Phuoc province gave the appointment decision to the new Abbot. At  last, the Most, demonstrating the VBS gave dharma words to the ceremony.

The ceremony ended in the joy of the mass.
