“Applied Dharma Propagation” Class: Studying the Dharma During the First Three Days of Spring 2025

With the intention of creating favorable conditions for Buddhists near and far to listen to and reflect on the Dharma during the Lunar New Year of Snake Year, and under the guiding principle of “Enjoying Spring without forgetting to practice,” the Board of Directors of the “Applied Dharma Propagation” class—granted joyful consent by the Venerable Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda—organized a special three-day Dharma study series with the theme: “The Ten Wholesome Deeds That Give Birth to Blessings.” The sessions took place at Dharma Hall III at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th days of Tet.

Dharma’s friends, good men and women, and spiritual seekers have returned to participate in the peaceful and joyful energy of the harmonious Sangha, guided by the venerable monks. Together, the community studied, contemplated, and practiced the teachings of the Buddha, applying mindfulness and awakening in everyday life.

 

Over the course of the three days, participants immersed in the essence of wholesome Dharma, embracing each moment and every daily activity as an opportunity for practice. The teachings on generosity, morality, cultivation, respect, service, listening to and sharing the Dharma, dedicating merit, rejoicing in others’ virtue, and right view were embodied through body, speech, and mind. Through the skillful application of mindfulness, practitioners with deep karmic affinity experienced upliftment, living with joy and purpose—radiating spiritual light that adorns the new spring with peace and happiness.
