Attending the Inauguration Ceremony of Lang Ca pagoda, Soc Trang.

In two days of September 26 and 27th, 2014 (lunar August 3 and 4 th, Horse Year), instructed by Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh – the Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda, Junior Vice-Abbot Thich Tam Dao and all the Monks arrived to ancient Lang Co pagoda in Soc Trang City to attend the celebrate sanctifying and take a position of Buddha statue, as well as supporting the major inauguration ceremony, appointing of Abbot, the 7th seven-days’ offering ceremony of the formal Chief Elder Nun Thich Nu Tri Nguyen, Abbess of Lang Ca pagoda in response to the invitation of Junior Thich Minh Thanh – the new-Abbot of this one.

It is known that Lang Ca pagoda is the ancient pagoda in Soc\r\nTrang city. Over passing time, the pagoda was seriously ruined. During many\r\nAbbot Generations, it was restored again, but was not solemn, imposing. By\r\nwishes that there is a majestic one, where helps local Buddhists’ cultivation;\r\nunder the instruction of the Abbot, Chief elder Nun Thich Nu Tri\r\nNguyen, Junior Thich Minh Thanh, it was rebuilt. Up to now, it is finished\r\nfinally, solemnly to serve the need of religious belief, as well as the dharma\r\ncultivation of local Buddhists.

The first day, the Monks supported the ceremony’s preparing\r\naffairs.

The next day, the celebration of sanctifying and taking\r\na seat of Buddha statue officially occurred at the main hall of Lang Ca pagoda,\r\nwhere were attended, witness of the Sangha, Senior, Most Venerable who were at\r\nthe Chairman of Committee for religious affair in Soc Trang\r\nprovince, the honored Monks and Nuns at Buddhist Intermediate school in\r\nHCMC and lay Buddhists as well.

After finishing of Buddha statue seating, at the main stage,\r\nJunior Thich Tam Dao, who was on behalf for the Hoang Phap pagoda’s Abbot,\r\npresented a picture gift of â€œthe Lotus Flower Lantern festival of the\r\nAmitabha Buddha Birthday’s Souvenir at Hoang Phap pagoda” to the New Abbot\r\nJunior Thich Minh Thanh which congratulates the Inauguration Ceremony and\r\nappointment of the Abbot here
