“Besides Buddha on Mid-Autumn Festival" for Kids of Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On the evening of Sep. 24th, 2023 (Aug. 10th, LC), at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa held "Beside Buddha on the mid-Autumn Festival" for thousands of kids, parents, people in and out the district to attend.

Before starting the festival, monks and Buddhists gave lanterns to kids. On behalf of the Organizers, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, preached about the purpose and meaning of the custom of "Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade". He guided present participants to offer incense to Three Jewels, and beat the drums to open the Mid-Autumn Festival 2023. The program was continued by a lion dance performed by the Lion and Dragon troupe.  After that, monks and the mass had together a "Mid-autumn lantern parade" on the streets around the pagoda. At the end of the procession, all attendees returned to Ngo Chan Tu lecture hall to continue enjoying the performances: lion dance, martial art performances, singing, etc, performed by Hoang Hai Dojo and Buddhists.

Especially, at the Mid-Autumn Festival, monks awarded the 9th "Giving wings to dreams" Scholarships in 2023 to the Levels I, II, and III of students who meet the approval standard of the Organizers. Finally, there is the Mid-Autumn Festival party for the mass. Each person received a Dharma gift before leaving.
