Birthday celebrating of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Hoa Phuc Pagoda - Hanoi

At Hoa Phuc pagoda in Hanoi, monks and Buddhists in and out locally held an anniversary to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's Birthday on March 21st, 2022 (Feb. 19th, Year of the Tiger).

Commemorating the day Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara appeared as a way of reminding us to always remember his deeds and practice at all times. Each name contains a special meaning of his spirit of learning and vows to save suffering and dangers for sentient beings in this world. Thanks to this, we will learn to love ourselves, people around us and develop compassion in life.

At the beginning of the ceremony, abbot Thich Tam Hoa guided the recitation of Universal-Door 's Sutra, so that all could receive the blessings of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, as well as help practitioners stop their thoughts and focus on contemplating life which will gain peace and serenity.

Following the ceremony, monks and Buddhist monks performed a ritual freeing living beings to spread love and dedicate merit.

The ceremony ended in full of joy.
