Buddha Bathing ritual on the Buddha's Birthday by Hieu and Thuong Group

Hieu and Thuong Group solemnly held a Buddha bathing ritual on the occasion of Buddha's birthday on the evening of May 27th, 2023, Buddhist calendar 2567.

The ritual took place solemnly and respectfully in the witness of ten directions of Buddhas and present monks: Junior Thich Tam Truong – Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda; Junior Thich Tam Tri – Vice Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, venerable Monks at the pagoda, Hieu - Thuong Group, Buddhist men and women, co-attendance guests.

After welcoming the monks coming to demonstrate, reciting the Buddha's names for blessings, Junior Thich Tam Trinh, Hieu and Thuong group’s Leader, Head of Organizers announced the reason, introduced the program and participants.

On behalf of the Organizers to open the rite, Junior Thich Tam Truong, Junior Thich Tam Tri cut the opening cake, the mass dignified and respectful, felt the spread of joy when the Buddha Birthday song was played while shooting impressive fireworks. Next, Junior Thich Tam Tri declared to read the Meaning of Buddha's Birthday. After that, Junior Thich Tam Truong gave encouraging words to the audience. The monk briefly shared about the Buddha's birth, the meaning of Prince Siddhartha's first seven steps on seven lotus flowers. From Buddha life and His wonderful teachings in sutra, the monk reminded the mass to take it as a guideline to practice and transform the body and mind towards a peaceful and happy life; try to comply with five precepts, worthy of being a true Buddhist.

After the dharma, the rite of birth and bathing of the Buddha was officially held in a sacred and pure atmosphere.

The ritual was completed in the joy of the mass.
