Buddha's birthday ceremony at Can Mon Temple

In the huge joy of celebrating the Buddha's birth, May 15, 2022 (April 15, LC), many guests and people everywhere respectfully gathered at Can Mon Pagoda to commemorate His Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2566.

On our beautiful planet, a Buddha was born more than 2600 years ago. He incarnated a human being like so many others, but he attained supreme awakening, boundless love and wisdom of fully Enlightenment. In this Saha world, He was the person who had attained Buddhahood - the leader of the Saha realm at that time. Like Mr. Neil Armstrong stepping on the moon, he affirmed that this is a great step forward for mankind in terms of science and technology; likewise, His appearance was a turning-point in human history, the most beautiful of all flowers.
