Buddhism Wedding Ceremony

On Oct 27, 2017 (Sep 08, lunar calendar), in the main shrine of the pagoda, monks from Hoang Phap Sangha carried out Buddhism wedding ceremony to young couples: - Groom Le Hoang Sang (religious name Hoang Song) and bride Nguyen Thanh Phuong Uyen (religious name Dieu Tri) - Groom Pham Van Phuoc (religious name Nhat Hai) and bride Le Minh Thu (religious name Lien Thu).

With the blesses from Buddha of the ten directions and the witness of clergy men, the Buddhism wedding ceremony was held in solemn and pure atmosphere.

After offering incense to Buddha, it was the appealing from couples’ families for the witness, rites and blessings to this important event.

Responding to the request, on behalf of attending monks, Senior Venerable Thich Chan praised the spirit of families taking refuge in Triratna and having Buddhism wedding ceremony for their kids’ marriage. He also had a Dharma talk regarding the duty for husband and wife in the family. Besides, the Senior Venerable also shared how to build up happy marriage, deal with parents and relatives based on Buddha’s teachings. Together with those, each spouse should fulfill his/her marital responsibility as per Buddha teaching in Sigalovada Sutra to have an upbeat spiritual life toward a true-good-beautiful family.

Ending the ceremony, the Senior Venerable handed Buddhism marriage certificates and wedding gifts to just-married couples.
