Buddhism Wedding Ceremony

With the witness of Triratna and families, the young couple performs traditional wedding rituals as paying homage to Triratna, kowtowing parents to express gratitude to their large merit, handing wedding rings and taking marriage oath abiding Buddha teachings in the whole life.
Senior Venerable Abbot Thich Chan Tinh, on behalf of Hoang Phap Sangha, sends his advice on marriage ethics to young couple. The key point for happy marriage is harmonization, the root of peace. Spouses in harmony can create happy family. Parents and kids in harmony can maintain family morality and tradition. Harmony helps it easy in educating next generations of the family.
In addition, he also reminds young couple having proper preparation for future. It is taking refuge in Triratna and abiding five precepts for lay Buddhists. Each member of the family should constantly cultivate Dharmic knowledge, be virtuous people, believe in cause and effect rule. Five precepts for lay Buddhists are basic morality for human beings. Whoever preserves them can have peace in life both in present and future.
