Buddhism Wedding Ceremony

With the witness of Triratna and families, couple performed traditional wedding rituals as paying homage to Triratna, kowtowing to express gratitude to parents’ merits, handing wedding rings and taking the marriage oath living together in the whole life following Buddha’s teachings.
Senior Venerable Abbot Thich Chan Tinh, on behalf of Hoang Phap Sangha, sent his advices on marriage ethics to young couple. The key point for happy marriage is harmonization, the root of peace. Spouses in harmony can create happy family. Parents and kids in harmony can maintain family morality and tradition. Harmony helps it easy in educating next generations of the family.
In addition, he also reminded young couple having proper preparation for future. It is taking refuge in Triratna and abiding five precepts for lay Buddhists. Each member of the family should constantly cultivate Dharmic knowledge, be virtuous people, believe in cause and effect rule. Five precepts for lay Buddhists are the basic morality for human beings. Whoever preserves them can have peace in life in present and future.
