This day is the meaningful beginning step for those who were going to enter the marriage life. If being proved, they will receive blessing, ethics and experiences of living to build their own happy life.
After celebrating the rituals of theBuddhist wedding ceremonyas thurifying to the Buddha, the representatives of the two families gave their words and exchanged wedding rings ... In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Venerable Thich Thien Nhon had something to the young couple before entering the new life. To reach the perfect married life, two young people must love, respect and listen, know and forgive faults of each other. At the same time, each individual must keep and fill in duty as well as the responsibilities of the husband and the wife as teaching words of Buddha in the Sanskrit Karma: the husband must be polite, entrusts the housework, custom jewelry, goes to work and goes home on time, faithfulness to his wife. The wife must be gentle, goes to bed lately and gets up early, resourceful housework, preservation of property, saves money, cares for the education of children. If we apply these Buddha’s teaching to the family life, we will get long with lasting happiness.
At the end of the ceremony, Venerable Thich Tam Nguyen gave the certificate and souvenir to the groom and the bride.
