Joining the ceremony there were Duoc Su’s Abbot, Ven. Teahyu, the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda and Duoc Su Pagoda.
With the witness of the Triple Gems (Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) and the couple’s family, the Buddhist wedding activities with traditional rites were done by the pair as paying homage to the Triple Gems, kowtowing to express gratitude to parents’ merits, handing wedding rings and taking the marriage oath living together in the whole life following Buddha’s teachings.
Ven. Teahyu, on behalf of the present monks, sent his advice on marriage ethics to the young couple. The key point for a happy marriage is harmony, the root of peace. Therefore, the monks preached details of the spirit of six dharma harmonies.
