Celebrating the great ceremony of the Buddha’s Birthday at Tieu Dao Pagoda

Witnessing at the ceremony, there were Senior Ven. Thich Dao Hien – member of the Committee of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam, Vice President and main secretary of the Committee of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam in Quang Ninh Province; Junior Ven. Thich Khai Tu – member of the Committee of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam in Quang Ninh Province, Deputy Chief of office the Committee of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam in Quang Ninh Province; Junior Ven. Thich Thanh Van – Vice Chairman of the the Committee of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam, Hoang Bo District and monks from Ha Long Town.
To the Authority, there were Mr. Le Manh Cuong – Vice President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front, Quang Ninh Province; Mr. Ngo Van Son – deputy of Religious Board, Quang Ninh Province; Mr. Truong Quang Tuan – Head of Home Affairs (PA.02) Public security Quang Ninh Province; Mrs. Ta Hong Hai – Deputy of Board of Ethnic religion, Commission for Mass Mobilization Quang Ninh Province; Mrs. Phi Thi Chi – Vice Chairman of Committee of Red Cross Quang Ninh Province.
The representative of Ha Long Town are Mrs. Nguyen Thi Van Ha – vice president of People’s council Ha Long Town; Mr. Nguyen Van Thong – vice president of Vietnam Father Front, Ha long Town; Mrs. Nguyen Bao Phuong – deputy of Ministry of Home Affairs, Ha Long Town; Mr. Vu Viet Hung, vice chairman of Security Service of Public Security, Ha Long Town.
The representative of the local government of Ha Khau ward has Mr. Pham Van Son – vice president of People’s Committee of Ha Khau ward; Mr. Pham Huy Suu – vice president of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ha Khau ward; representatives of departments of Quang Ninh Province, and nearly 1,000 Buddhists attending the celebration.
At the beginning of the program, Senior Ven. Thich Dao Hien read the message of Dharma Lord. He told the Buddhists about the meaning of the day of Buddha Birthday as well as history of Buddha from the day he was born until the day he took to the Nirvana. He also announced that there were some Buddhists having wrong activities of the Buddhist spirit, mobilizing others to believe in superstitions. This affected enormously to the belief of Buddhists.
Then, on behalf of the monks, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Tinh – member of Buddhist Director Board in Vietnam, Quang Ninh province, The abbot of Tieu Dao pagoda started the Venerable Master's speech.
On this occasion, the representatives from departments also offered the flowers to the Buddha.
Monks offered incense to Buddha, recited His names, and did the ritual of bathing Buddha statue. This ceremony solemnly transpired in the joy of Buddhists.
