Ceremony Appointing The Abbot of Quang An Pagoda, Binh Phuoc Province

On March 20th, 2016 (February 2nd, Monkey Year), permitted by Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, the Venerables of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to Quang An, Tan Loi commune, Hon Quang district, Binh Phuoc province to attend the ceremony appointing the abbot of Junior Venerable Thich Tam An.

The ceremony began in solemn, tranquil and intimate  atmosphere in the witness of Most Venerable  Thich Nhuan Thanh, Chief of Buddhism staff of Thanh Hoa Province and honorable monks, nuns of nearby monasteries. Besides, there were other religious representatives, local government and Buddhists from many places.

In the ceremony, Most Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh offered the official certificate  appointing Junior Venerable Thich Tam An to the Abbot of Quan An Pagoda. Affter that he explained about meaning and duty of  â€œA Dharma Director, Tathagata’s canon keeper”. This is great responsibility of the new abbot. Therefore, leaders of government  ranks and Buddhists  are expected  to support and offer favourable conditions to Quang An Pagoda, which brings profit to society andBuddhism.

Before the end, Buddhist a were granted a VCD of  â€œHappiness In Life”, a book named  â€œ Cultivation is to advance.
