Ceremony of Buddha’s Birthday at Quoc Thoi Pagoda- Bến Tre

Responding to the invitation of Ven. Thich Tam Hung , with the permission of the Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh - the Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda and, the Monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda came at Quoc Thoi Pagoda, An Hoa hamlet, Long Thoi commune, Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province on May 31st, 2015 (April 14 th, Goat Year), to organize the Ceremony of Buddha’s Birthday of Buddha Calendar 2559 - Solar Calendar 2015.

The ceremony was held under the witness of the Most Senior\r\nVen., Senior Venerables of the Committee for religious affair in Cho Lach\r\ndistrict, as well as the abbots of local pagodas. In addition, local\r\nauthorities of all levels, many Buddhists at HCMC and local area attended.

 After the flower offerring ritual of teenagers from\r\nBuddhist’s families, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung - the Abbot of Quoc Thoi\r\nPagoda - the head of organizing board read the opening speech. Next, the\r\nMost Venerable Thich Giac Huong – the demonstrator of Board of Directors Cho\r\nLach District explained the meaning of this vital ceremony. Also, local\r\nauthorities had a peech on this occasion.

 At the end, the Most, Senior, honor Monks, Nuns, noble\r\nvisitors and Buddhists performed the due ceremonies of this holiday which set\r\nballoons, pigeons to be freed to pray for peace and comfort for all the World.

 Next, the ceremony had the special performances to\r\nwelcome this great – happyday by singers and actors Thoai My, Hong\r\nTo, Vu Minh Lam, Đao Vu Thanh, Ngoc Han, Trinh Thanh Thao, Thien Minh SÆ¡n, Phuc\r\nSÆ¡n và The Vu.
