Update: 16/04/2022
Thousands of good men and women returned to Phuc Lac pagoda in Nghe An on the evening of April 15th, 2022 (March 15, LC) to attend the 1st Three-Jewels Refuge Ceremony in 2022 and the rite to pray for souls on the occasion of grave visiting season.
The ceremony was held in a dignified and pure atmosphere at 19:00. All participants learned about the demeanor shown by the actions of a Buddhist when coming to the temple, such as: clasping hands, greeting, prostration, etc.
The ceremony officially took place under the witness of monks at the temple. On behalf of the monks present Junior Thich Tam Thanh, Abbot of Phuc Lac Pagoda has transferred Three Refuges and Five Precepts to nearly 500 followers. During that time, he also gave instructions and encouragement for new Buddhists on learning rules. To become a true Buddhist, one should take refuge in the Three Jewels and observe five precepts, that is, turn to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha and strive to uphold five basic principles. Don't do the following, such as: Killing creatures, Stealing, adultery, lying, or taking addictive drugs; we will be happy, peaceful in this life and the future
Following compassionate conducts of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the monks and Buddhists set up a solemn altar on the evening of the same day, offering prayers to sentient beings in all realms. May all spirits rely on the majesty of Three Jewels and return to a peaceful realm.
