Ceremony To Put Buddha Statue In Place And To Take Refuge In Triratna.

In the morning Feb. 12th, 2017 (Jan. 16th, 2017 Lunar Chicken Year), receiving the invitation from the abbot Junior Venerable Thich Tam An, the Senior Venerable and monks in the Hoang Phap pagoda participated in ceremony to put Buddha statue in place and to take refuge in Triratna in the Hung Phap pagoda, located at Xuan Loc Commune, Xuan Hung District, Dong Nai Province.

Next to rites for putting the Buddha statue in place was the rules of taking refuge in Triratna and transmitting five precepts to believers in Buddhism. Before transmitting five commandments, the Senior Venerable explained the meaning of taking refuge in Three Treasures, repentance and five commandments. Besides, he encouraged the spirit of cultivation in local Buddhists. He commented on the Hung Phap pagoda, with an area of 15 hectares, it was in the early stage of construction; though it had many difficulties, in future it would be one of the large cultivated centers in local area because of favourable terrain.And although it was still in the process of construction, the pagoda had a stately Buddha hall by the support from believers in Buddhism, it was also the beginning of stately Bodhimandala. He hoped local Buddhists continue preserving and bringing into play in order to make Bodhimandala become more solemn and prosperous. As the Buddha's teachings: "it is difficult to be reborn as a human being, it is difficult to listen to the Buddha Dharma, it is difficult to encounter the Bodhimandala"; now Buddhists had enough causes and conditions, all of you must strive for diligent cultivation.
