Chanting sutra, releasing creatures to pray for peace in Tan Thanh, Long An by the Charity Board

The mass and family sincerely read and recite the last chapter of Lotus sutra, the ritual of giving food to alone souls, chanting the Buddha's name and walking meditation, vowing to dedicate the good merits to the family and Buddhists for peace, prosperity and diligence in the path to practice Buddhism.
At the rite, the monk praised the spirit of gratitude and repayment of Buddhists. He reminded that if a person wants to have a peaceful and happy life, he or she should take refuge in the Three Jewels, obey five precepts: do not kill creatures but release them; do not steal but give alms; do not commit adultery but live faithfully; don't lie and don't drink alcohol; doing good deeds of eating vegetarian food, reciting Buddha's name, repenting mistakes, helping the poor, benefit to others…
This occasion, the monks gave dharma gift portions to all families' members, including books named: "Calendar of Spring 2024, Gift of New Year 2024, Lessons of Retribution for Killing Beings; beads of stringing the Buddha's name, and Picture of Three-Saint Pure Land.
