Charity Board: Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

Charity Board and Oncology Club at Hoang Phap pagoda assisted 110 patients of Cancer Hospital and Blind people gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice on July 27th, 2025.

After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture hall of area C to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting Buddhists’ basic precepts.  Next, all patients listened to a Dharma talk "Every meeting is precious, because it never repeats" preached by Junior Thich Tam Luan, Abbot of Bao Quang pagoda, Dong Nai province.

 

   Finishing reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly.

 

 Before all attendees leaving the temple, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave 14,000,000 including gifts to 110 patients and the blind in the One-Day retreat.

 

     The monk praised the patients' difficult overcoming spirit, although the body was sick but the mind was not. He advised them to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, then will have a peaceful and happy life.

 

 The day of cultivation ended in the joy of participants.
