Charity Board: The Three-Jewel Refuge Ceremony and Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

In response to the invitation of Buddhist Thai Van Giong, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda went to a private house of Buddhists in Long An to make a rite of refuge in the Three Jewels on November 30th, 2024.

Despite of the old age and weak health, but having faith in the Three Jewels and hoping to become Buddhists, so Mr. Thai Van Giong (70 years old), Mrs. Vo Thi Bach Lan (66 years old), and their family earnestly invited the monks to come their family to transmit Three Refuges and Five Precepts. On behalf of the Pagoda’s Most Master, Junior Thich Tam Hue transmitted dharma precepts to Mr. Thai Van Giong with the religious name Tinh Thien, and Mrs. Vo Thi Bach Lan with the religious name Lien Lan. He praised the family and encouraged Buddhists to be filial, diligently do good deeds, practice vegetarianism, recite Buddha's name, and study the teachings to have a good life. After the ritual, the monks presented gifts of Dharma to all Buddhists.

 

On Dec. 01st, 2024 Charity Board and Oncology Club at Hoang Phap pagoda assisted 100 patients of Cancer Hospital and Blind people gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice

 

 After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture hall of area C to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation chanting Buddhists basic precepts, and listening to the dharma. Before all attendees leaving the temple, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gift portions including envelopes to 100 patients and the blind. The amount 11,000,000 given by the Donors, such as 5,000,000 VND of Lien Nghia group; 1,000,000 VND of a Buddhist group; 2,000,000 VND of a Buddhist; 3,000,000 VND of Tuyet Ngoc rice and her friends.
