Children Retreat Titled ‘I Return to the Buddha’

On 12th July, 2020 (lunar 22nd May, year of the rat), Hoang Phap Pagoda continued to organize the 22nd children retreat on "I Come to Buddha" for nearly 700 kids to attend.
After finishing with registering in the morning, the Monks guided young learners to gather at the lecture hall to participate in the activities.
The children watched the circus performances in joy, surprise and curiosity. Next, they listened to a short sharing session from Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Head of the Organizers.
Next, the Master instructed young attendees to memorize necessary things when they go to the retreat, such as the way of walking, bowing, eating, sleeping, meditative sitting, etc. These are small lessons written by the Senior Ven. in the form of poetry, aiming to direct them to the dignity, politeness of Zen life, from which the children can apply in daily activities to stay away from bad habits, improve themselves.
In the afternoon, little kids had moments of quiet sitting, instructed by the Monks to read the verses "Gratitude". After that, there was a program of living skills trained by psychologist Tran Phuong Hieu from Rong Viet KOVS center with the topic School Safety - Self Protection.
By these game activities helped children be aware of their body protection and do not permit anyone to violate, carefully, violators may be familiar with the family. The monk explained to the children understanding about the six problems of school violence that were beaten, threatened, insulted, boycotted, harassed, mugged in the school, and then instructed a number acting of movement out of danger.
