Commemorating enlightened achievement of Bodhisattva Siddhartha at Dong Cao pagoda

Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa (belonging to Hoang Phap Pagoda ‘s sect) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the Bodhisattva Siddhartha's enlightenment on the evening of Jan. 07th, 2025 (Dec. 8th, LC).

The Abbot praised the lay Buddhists for organizing a solemn and pure ceremony night to everyone before the opening. The representative of Buddhists offered a speech to invite the monks coming to the rostrum. Next, Junior Thich Tam Hung and monks offered incense to the Buddha and offered flowers to the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. After that, the attendees sat together and read the sutra "Noble Eightfold Path" so that everyone had the opportunity to reflect on the path that the Buddha guided His disciples to transform and find happiness in the present moment.

 

 The Abbot reminds Buddhists, should try to practice to be our own torch to light up  our own body-mind. To gain that wish, let's keep our vow, don't give up because of difficulties and challenges. Especially practitioners who are cultivating the Pure Land method must cultivate "Faith, vow, practice" to be able to find happiness in the present and deliverance in the future. At the end of the ceremony, the mass recited Buddha's vow and Four great graces were led by the Abbot.
