Commemorating the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara achievement at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

On July 13th, 2025 (June 19th, LC), Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to the Hoằng Pháp pagoda sect) in Thanh Hoa organized a prostrating of Five Hundred-Name Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. This occasion, Dong Cao Pagoda solemnly had a repentance rite to commemorate Her achievements.

The abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hung and the mass respectfully chanted sutras and mantras, praised the Bodhisattva’s name and offered flowers and candles to Her statue at the ceremony.

 

The mass expressed Buddhists’ gratitude to the great compassion of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. The abbot encouraged all attendees to remind each person to reflect on themselves, generate great compassion, cultivate a compassionate heart and vow to live a good life, following the example of Bodhisattva’s virtues.
