Commemorating the day Shakyamuni Buddha entered into Nirvana at Hoa Phuc Pagoda in Hanoi

The deliverance is not obtained by praying, nor must it wait until after death to see it. That is the path summed up by the realization process of Shakyamuni Buddha. On the occasion of the Buddha's entry into Nirvana, at exactly 0:00 on Feb. 15th (at dawn on Feb. 16th, LC), monks of Hoa Phuc Pagoda gathered at the main hall, reciting the sutra Buddha’s last teachings before entering into Nirvana.

The midnight time seemed to settle in the vast and quiet space, each prayer resounded in a deep and resounding voice throughout the world. Each verse is a message to encourage, and promote: at times gentle and affectionate, or at times stern and principled, expressing the supramundane vision of Fully Enlightened One in the Three Realms.

Thanks to this, each practitioner has many opportunities to look back and reflect on each individual practice and ideals of service. Be diligent, not distracted, for "all aggregates are impermanent". The fruit of attainment is the most beautiful manifestation on the journey to enlightenment. Any moment we have not achieved that fruit, have not tasted that immortal taste, then even if we live for 100 years in this world, we will still be empty-handed.
