Commemoration Ceremony to Great Master Thich Pho Tue and the rite chanting compassion mantra at Lingyin Temple, Taiwan

On the news of Great Master, Dharma Lord Thich Pho Tue’s death, on Oct. 24th, 2021 during the rite chanting compassion mantra on the anniversary of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's ordination on Sep.19th, lunar calendar; monks and nuns and Buddhists at Lingyin Temple, Taipei, Taiwan gathered at the main hall to hold a memorial ceremony and offer flowers on the picture of Great Master, the 3rd Dharma-Lord of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

After the ending of the memorial rite which took place at 9 a.m., the mass chanted 108 times of Great Compassion Mantra and sprinkled blessed water on water offered bottles.

At 13:00, the practitioners continued their cultivation. After completing the recitation 108 times of the Great Compassion mantra, monks and nuns guided the mass to walk and recite the name Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara and offer candles to Him. Vowing dedicates merit and praying that the world will dissipate the epidemic, everyone will be safe, pray that compatriots living, studying and working in foreign lands as well as their families and relatives in their homeland will be protected, healthy, and peaceful.

Before leaving, the temple sent blessed water bottles and peace strings of beads as a small gift to send love to followers in the same country.
