Community retreat on the occasion of Buddha's birthday at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa (belonging to the Hoang Phap sect) held Buddhist activities to spread the spirit of compassion, sow good seeds and virtues on the occasion of Buddha's birthday on May 12th, 2025.

Junior Thich Tam Hung - Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda and Buddhists in the monastery joined hands to carry out activities in joy and harmony, such as: releasing animals, chanting sutras to review the life of Buddha, almsgiving, giving vegetarian meals and gifts to households in difficult fates in the locality.

 

The whole ashram at Ngo Chan Tu lecture hall attended the tea meditation and Dharma talk “Feeling the Buddha’s Birthday in Me” at 7:30 p.m. This is an opportunity for Buddhists to listen to the abbot’s teachings and share their feelings on the days of serving the Triple Gem during the past Buddha’s Birthday. Finally, the mass wholeheartedly and respectfully offered flowers and candles to the Buddha statue, vowing to uphold the Dharma, support the Sangha, spread the light of wisdom and promote the Dharma.
