Day 6 of Temporary ordination retreat 2025 for Children in Summer with the theme Do you remember? preached by Nun Dr. Thich Nu Huong Nhu

On June 17th, 2025 is the 6th day of the Temporary ordination retreat for Children in 2025.

At 9:00 a.m, all the kids listened to a Dharma talk named “Do you remember?” shared by preached by Nun Dr. Thich Nu Huong Nhu, Head of Nun‘s Propagation Board, Deputy of Central Nun Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Standing Member of Central Dharma Propagation Board of VBS, Lecturer of Vietnam Buddhist University in HCMC, Abbot of Thien Quang Pagoda, Binh Duong Province.

 

To each meaningful story with valuable lessons of wisdom to the children, the nun aroused their respect for the Triple Gem, sowing good karma with Buddha - Dharma - Sangha to nurture the seeds of goodness in their mind. The nun also reminded the kids about gratitude and filial piety towards their parents and grandparents, knowing to appreciate what they have, living with contentment and kindness towards everyone around them. A special message in the Dharma talk was the importance of nurturing inner strength by calmness and wisdom. The nun guided the children to learn how to return to their breath, listen to themselves, thereby developing the ability to concentrate, be peaceful and clear-headed in daily life.
