Dhammapada Competition for Clergy Men

The advanced science nowadays can prove that Buddha teachings are helpful and practical to human beings. The need learning Buddha's teachings of intellectuals in developed countries becomes more and more vital. With compassion and the aspiration benefiting others, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, always encourages his clergy disciples cultivating virtue and wisdom to preach and bring enlightenment to all sentient beings.

In that spirit, with the approval from the abbot, in the evening of Jul 26, 2017, there was the Dhammapada competition for clergy men with the supervision of Venerable Thich Tam Dao, Deputy abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda, and 12 senior monks in 3 groups of judges. The award for winners is the study tour to advanced Buddhism countries to learn the know-how. Besides, they also get proper supports for their further studying/practicing.
