Update: 05/05/2021
On May 5th, 2021 (March 24th, LC), Junior Thich Tam Tri came to the main hall to preach a dharma talk in the 96th seven-day retreat to participants on the title named "A saint’s eating".
In eating, we often consider nutrition and choose foods that are suitable to maintain a healthy body. However, how many people will know the way to take care of their own mind? Most people often let their desires run after external entertainment, giving rise to greed, hatred, delusion when the six senses contact with the six objects of forms, sounds, smells, tastes, feelings, dharma. From here, those "toxic" foods will poison and pollute our mind. Truly, when we contact something every day, those will be an important spiritual food to maintain and nurture our body and mind.
By the way, the monk instructed daily practice skills so that when encountering unsatisfied something, the mind is still calm, free, and knows how to behave in a standard way. That is, when facing the unsatisfied things, it should be performed: avoid conditions, think properly, focus on reciting the Buddha's name and regularly read and study the sutra and verses from the Buddha's teachings.
