Dharma Talk “Four Dharma forming moral people” – The 96th Seven-Day Retreat

On May 3rd, 2021 (on March 22nd, LC), Junior Thich Tam Luan, Abbot of Bao Quang pagoda, Dong Nai, had a lecture at the main hall with the practitioners by the topic: "Four dharma forming moral people".
 

Dharma Talk “Four Dharma forming moral people” – The 96th Seven-Day Retreat

 

On the path of Buddhist cultivating, each practitioner constantly improves his or her own actions and words to become better. The Ven gave a lecture Four dharma to establish a moral person, as following: wisdom, honesty, abandon, peace.

1. The nature of wisdom is a person who understands cause and effect, sees the truth of all things ... so that when faced with it, we can easily accept, transform and not create negative karma. Hoping to increase wisdom, we need to practice Precept - Concentration - Wisdom, familiarize with the wise, listen to the Dharma, meditate, and contemplate the dharma.

2. The nature of truth is a person who has sincerity and always respects the truth by practicing words, actions and thoughts are honest.

3. The abandoned nature is a practitioner gradually letting go of one's own holdings of possessions, views, attachments, and defilements, as well as abandoning those that bring disadvantage to him and others.

4. The nature of tranquility is a person who has a calm mind, knows to quiet his afflictions by practice, meditation, chanting, breath's contemplating, keeping the mind relaxed. When the mind is calm, wise, and understands the nature of life, then its living is really happy and peaceful. From here, the Ven. message to the mass should practice diligently and do not live abandonedly.
