Dharma talk "Immense gratitude" preached by Senior Thích Chuc Tin in the 104th Seven-day Retreat

On Dec. 12th, 2024 in the 2nd-day Retreat, Senior Thích Chuc Tin - Deputy Director Board cum Head of Da Nang City's Buddhist Education Board, Deputy Director of Buddhist Academy in Hue, Principal of Danang City Buddhist Intermediate School had a dharma talk named "Immense gratitude".

All sentient beings have always wished and looked for happiness, no beings refuse a life filled with deep love; because of the hope for noble love to extend endlessly in the world, countless Buddhas hard have practiced, and enlightened themselves, then brought that wisdom teachings preaching to those who seek truth and happiness.

 

To arouse and develop a fearless and noble love, practitioners first need to practice giving alms which is the first step in good deeds to bond love. Building a foundation for good deeds by complying strict precepts, being a mind and body purification that generates all merit. To protect the compassion from being broken, always control five senses and not let them indulge in sensual pleasures. One wants to be sublimated, the eating is not because of the desire for good taste but takes away the lives of sentient beings; need to protect your health in the quality of your sleep, don't let worries invade your mind, and also nor indulge in sleep make time go to waste; Diligently practice wisdom, increase good dharma, know shame about evil dharma; always be humble and patient, being mindfulness, and aware to avoid making mistakes. Just by doing the above things, each practitioner's life will be filled with love, reconnecting the hurts in the family, establishing a healthy and noble life.

 

The Venerable enthusiastically explained the important things in the Buddha's brief Sutra at the time of Nirvana, helping listeners thoroughly understand the Buddha's wisdom, filled with immense love for all beings.

 

Hoằng Pháp Pagoda’s Most Master Thích Chân Tình came to the Dharma Hall, visited and encouraged all practitioners attending the retreat. He reminded Buddhists to take care of their health so that they could practice their mind and body. He also taught how to follow the breath, rely on the breath to concentrate and regenerate energy for the body. From contemplating the breath, staying on the breath, keeping the mind from running after delusions, practitioners maintain mindfulness, develop concentration and wisdom, and are steadfast on the path of cultivation.
