Dharma Talk “Peaceful place to stop ” – The 96th Seven-Day Retreat

On May 4th, 2021 (March 23rd, LC), Junior Ven. Thich Tam Trinh, one of the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, came to the main hall to preach a dharma talk to the 96th seven-day retreat participants on the title:“Peaceful place to stop.”

When facing storms in life, everyone finds a place to return to, a family to take refuge in, feeling the warmth and love; however, not everyone has that fulcrum. The participants watched a video of unhappy fates, wandering around without any support. Seeing that, we should be happy and cherish the present moment and what we have.

Normally, everyone is looking for a peaceful place for themselves. The same meaning, he also found a place for his life when he came to lean on the Three Jewels, at a temple and his master. From here, the monk talked about the cultivator's vow on the path bringing religion into life, helping people to have their spiritual fulcrum to find a real source of happiness. Let’s come back to rely on the dharma, take the dharma as an island for ourself, without relying on anything in the world.
