Dharma talk We have joyful things in the 99th Seven-Day Retreat

On April 15th, 2023 in the seventh day of the 99th Seven-Day Retreat; Senior Thich Quang Thien, Head of the Buddhist Legal Department in District 12 - Professor at Buddhist schools inside and outside the City, Abbot of Tinh Quang pagoda in District 12 came to the main hall 1 of Dharma Wheel Building to have a dharma talk named We have joyful things.

There are many good things in life that when looking back, we will find that we have a lot of happiness; however, we do not realize the simple interesting things that exist around us every day because of looking for joy in the distance somewhere. Those are joy when we have loved one  besides to be discussion; when having health, we have autonomy in all our personal activities without having to rely on others, control our own life (financial, time, decisions, independence ,...); the joy of being human, having full senses and intact body to live until the end of life, listening to Buddha Dharma, practicing and having opportunities to serve and do good deeds in living; joy when we have conditions of self-managing, not worry much illness at time coming - going (birth-death). In modern society, if we do not have to be pressured to eat, dress and stay, it is a happiness, so, we should not question life too much, or ourselves, loved ones. Let's be content with the present that we have, we will have joy and happiness within ourselves without having to look far away.

On behalf of the Organizers and practitioners in the retreat, Junior Thich Tam Duoc expressed his gratitude to the venerable Most, Senior, Junior, Nuns who came to the ashram, and shared noble teachings to the mass in the 99th Seven-day retreat.
