Dong Cao pagoda celebrating the achievement enlightenment of Bodhisattva Siddhartha

In the evening of Dec. 8th, lunar calendar, Dong Cao Pagoda organized an enlightened achievement night of Bodhisattva Siddhartha in Thanh Hoa province. Because the Covid-19 epidemic is still happening, the ceremony was held in accordance with the new situation, ensuring the conditions for prevention and control according to regulations.

After three rings of Prajnaparamita bells and drums, the Sangha who came before the Buddha image, offered incense to the Buddha. Then, Junior Thich Tam Khoi, monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda, HCMC spoke about the meaning of Prince Siddhartha's ordination.

Next, the mass with a candle in their hands, representing  wisdom, walked and recited the name Shakyamuni Buddha. Next, it is the part of repenting of mistakes and chanting five precepts of lay Buddhists.

On behalf of the Sangha, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda paid his praises to all Buddhists overcoming all obstacles returned to the temple to attend the ceremony, creating peaceful energy to offer to the Blessed One. From that, the Venerable also reminded the mass to practice the Buddha's instructions to live a happier, fuller life, and after giving up this body, be reborn in the pure Land.

At the end of the rite, the participants received a lucky gift from Three Jewels.
