Dong Cao Pagoda offering to Rain-retreat schools
Update: 21/06/2022
In the Buddhist precepts, the monks have three months in the rain-retreat to practice the precepts, which is the first step of Precepts - Concentration - Wisdom on the path of preaching the Dharma and bringing Buddhism to life. The rain-retreat School is an opportunity for lay Buddhists to contribute to the protection and cultivation of blessings, as well as sow good seeds in the Three Jewels with the aspiration "Three Jewels always exist in the world for the benefit of sentient beings."
In that spirit, on June 20, 2022, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda (Thanh Hoa) and Buddhists organized offerings at the Rain Retreat Schools of Thanh Hoa province.
After lighting incense to the Buddha and offerings at Dong Cao Pagoda, the delegation listened to the dharma and messages from the Abbot. After that, the delegation went to the rain retreat schools as following:
1. Khanh Quang Pagoda's Rain Retreat, Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa; where Junior Thich Tam Hung is settling down for three months in the Retreat in 2022.
2. Rain Retreat of Tuong Van Pagoda, Vinh Loc District, Thanh Hoa,
3. Rain Retreat of Linh Canh pagoda – Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa
4. Rain Retreat of Thanh Ha pagoda - Thanh Hoa City – Headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Thanh Hoa.

Next, Junior Thich Tam Hung led all practitioners to the main hall to worship Buddha and visit the pagoda. Although the money and items offered to the retreats are not much, it is the heart of the lay people who know how to do good, sow blessings for themselves, and help Buddhists understand the Rain-retreat s' tradition in the Sangha. Since then, Buddhists have diligently practiced according to the Buddha's teachings, corrected their body and mind, built a happy and prosperous family, and always firmly maintained the righteous Dharma in the world.
On this occasion, the Venerable guided the delegation to visit, learn, have fun extracurricular activities at Lam Kinh Historic Site (WCH4+JQG, National Highway 47, Xuan Lam, Tho Xuan, Thanh Hoa) and Sam Son beach tourism. (Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa).
