Enjoy the Full Moon Festival for Kids in Son Hong border area of Giai Lam Pagoda, Ha Tinh

Approved by Huong Son District Buddhist Director Board, District Youth Union and Son Hong Commune People's Committee, Giai Lam Pagoda always devotes all its love and preparation to organize a full moon party for children. On the evening of Sep. 24th, 2023 Giai Lam Pagoda in Ha Tinh province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda) held a full moon festival night for children in the local area.
Son Hong is a border commune in Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, people still have many difficulties in life. That's the reason monks and Buddhists want to establish good relationships with people, children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Starting with the lion dance performance performed by Hung Quan Martial Art School’s Lion and Dragon Troupe, followed by singing performances by the Youth Club of Giai Lam Pagoda, Tuong Son Pagoda and children in Son Hong commune at 5:00 p.m.
The Sangha's attending, there were presence of Junior Thich Thanh An, Deputy Director Board (DB) of Huong Son district Buddhists, Abbot of But Moc Pagoda; Junior Thich Ngo An, Deputy of Communication s’ Department of Ha Tinh Province Buddhist Sangha, chief secretary of Huong Son District Buddhist; Junior Thich Tam Luc, Head of Giai Lam Pagoda’s guide.
The authorities' attending: Mr. Ho Thai Son, Member of District Party Committee ’s Standing Board, Vice Chairman of District People's Committee, representatives of departments of Son Hong commune, Huong Son district; Mr. Nguyen Van Linh - District Commissioner, Secretary of the District Youth Union (DYU) along with men and women in the DYU ’s Standing Board, people and children attended.
Junior Thich Ngo An gave an opening speech after introducing all participants. Junior Thich Tam Luc had thanked the Sangha, local government, Donors and people for supporting the monk, the ashram to complete the program. The representative of the local government thanked the Sangha and Giai Lam pagoda for organizing a meaningful festival for the Kids.
Each child attending received gifts given by the Organizers at the end of the program.
The pagoda sent gifts on this occasion, including: 1,500 comic books compiled by Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, 800 moon cakes, canned milk, and candies of all kinds. The pagoda also donated more than 50 bags of blankets and clothes for people to attend.
