Flower Lantern Ceremony Commemorating Buddha Amitabha’s Birthday at Dong Cao pagoda-Thanh Hoa.

In the evening of December 27th, 2015 (Luvar November 17, Goat Year, Dong Cao Pagoda, Nga Yen Village, Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province held a solemn dignified flower lantern festival commemorating the Buddha Amitabha.

The ceremony was presented of the monks in the province, attended by representatives of governments, and good men and believing women inside the province.

After praying for blessings, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, head of the organizing committee announced the opening of the ceremony. After that, the religious faith meditation monks and Buddhists witnessed offering incense to the Great Fame.

The expected moment of the ceremony came when the first flower lantern was lit. This is the light of disseminating compassionate and wisdom. That light will everlasting survival, because it is the Dharma. The monk passed the light to Buddhists, the shimmering yard were gradually appeared. Holding a candle in hand, light spread throughout everywhere in space, certainly that their heart was directing The Western Paradise where Buddha Amitabha is preaching, with all sincere hearts to almsdonate retreat to the Buddha Amitabha in festival commemorating the Buddha Amitabha. Everyone was willing to bring  the Buddha’s name to their life, delete the revenge that is  flooded, reigns in thoughts, words and actions.

Then Junior Ven. Thich Trung Duc, from the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, talked about history of the Buddha Amitabha as well as the meaning of  Buddha recitation method  -  basing on this as a set of dharma luggage for them to study more about Buddhism.

After the Ceremony, the entertainment shows was for offering  the Buddha Amitabha, Buddha's ten directions by singers and Buddhists inside the province with songs praising love the motherland and religion.
