Flower Lantern festival on Amitabha Buddha 's Birthday at Long Hoa Pagoda – Long An

The ceremony officially started at 7:00 pm. Buddhists gathered and respectfully invited the monks, nuns and Venerables to the stage to witness the ceremony.
After that, the masses listened to Venerable Thich Tam Vuong’s chanting words, being peaceful in the mindful bell. which makes people's relaxed and serene.
After declaring the reasons and introducing the participants, venerable Nun Thich Nu Nhu Quang made an opening speech.
The main part of the ceremony was the passing of the candle light. The candle of the immortal faith of the Buddha Dharma was lit, Thich Nu Nhu Van received the blaza from Venerable Thích Bửu Ấn and then it was passed to the nuns of the Nunnery, then gradually spread out to the Buddhists. It is like a symbol of the torch light, a noble gesture of the propagation spreading the Buddha Dharma, bringing the light of wisdom to the world for a happy and good.
In the solemn and serene atmosphere, Thich Nu Quang Thuan read the history of Amitabha Buddha and the masses chanted the name of Amitabha.
At the end of the ceremony, Most Venerable
Thich Giac Hanh, Vice of executive board of the Vietnam Buddhist association of Ba Ria Vung Tau province preached to the entire participants.
Flower Lantern festival on Amitabha Buddha 's Birthday is an opportunity for the masses to listen to the merit and the Buddha's teachings on the method of reciting Buddha's name. Thereby, the method of reciting the Buddha's name is very common and suitable nowadays because of their bad karma and few blessings, He talked about the method of reciting Buddha's name on two aspects of briefness and merits.
